Senator Lindsey Graham
On behalf of the World Jewish Congress and Jewish communities around
the globe, we mourn the sudden passing of Senator Lindsey Graham.
Senator Graham was one of America's most distinguished leaders and
among the strongest and most consistent moral voices in public life.
Throughout decades of public service, he believed that the alliance
between the United States and Israel was far more than a strategic
partnership-it was a bond rooted in the shared values of freedom,
democracy, justice, and the defense of the free world.
His legacy extends far beyond politics. It is a legacy of courage, integrity,
principled leadership, and an enduring commitment to the ideals that unite
the democratic world. The Jewish people and the State of Israel have lost
a true friend, and America has lost one of its most devoted and
courageous public servants.
