2. I have loved Tirtsa since I first worked with her in1980 in Tel Yehuda and have been blessed with spending many summers learning about life, dance and humanity from her. She has always been one of my guiding lights: her strength of character and will, her genius in understanding the human condition and the meaning of culture in our lives and her
   ability to critique without blame – to really teach.

   Most people will never actually know or truly appreciate how much joy she has actually brought us, how many lives she has actually touched and educated, how many bridges she has built between different cultures fostering empathy and understanding where there was suspicion and hate. And all through dance.

   I still love Tirtsa, always will. I am the daughter of 2 survivors
   and I feel a special connection with her. She is one of the main role models that have made me a dancing, feminist, Zionist, teacher in Israel for the last 40 years. I want my actions to honor her.
